New World Champion Foad SADEGHI / AUT

Posted by WKF head office on July 5th, 2011

Vienna, Austria; on July 2nd in the amazing location in the Vienna Prater was once again a superb VIP Gala with excellent international fighters from Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and of course Austria.

Main fight was for the WKF World title in Thai Boxing – 72,30 Kg , scheduled  of 5 x 3 minutes rounds.

WKA European Champion and former Super league fighter Foad SADEGHI challenged Slovakian WKF Intercontinental Champion Lukas BODY for the World title.

The title bout starts from the beginning in the first round with high speed from both sites, Sadeghi hit Body with few nice low kicks. In the brake the Slovakian corner called the match doctor and called W.O. because of a serious muscle injury on the right arm. (Photo from 03.07.2011)

Of course, Sadeghi is a real Champion, so he was not happy with this situation, because he want to satisfy his own home town audience.

Now Foad is ready to defend his World title belt against an US fighter. ” I would love to beat American Champions at home” , he said.

Who want to challenge him ???

Posted by WKF head office on May 26th, 2011

Our USA office want to inform that they have held their FIRST and VERY SUCCESSFUL WKF USA Judge and Referee Seminar with 14 people in attendance and having taken the course and passing.

During the course they covered the following:

WKF Rules & Regulations

Ring Etiquette

Requirements of the Officials

Scoring differences between Muay Thai and KickBoxing

How to Fill Out the Score Cards

Referee Responsibilities

Judges Responsibilities

Sanctioning of Events

Legal Obligations of the Officials

Ring & Athlete Safety

Basic First Aid

Matchmaking

Official Licensing / Certification

State Requirements

Our president Mr. Ric SNIFFEN reports:

We then practiced hands on Ring Techniques for the Referee and how to remain safe and yet in control of a bout.

We required each person to score an actual pre-recorded Muay Thai & KickBoxing Bout both Amateur and Professional and discuss the reasoning for their scores.

I required every one to pass the Basic First Aid Course.

Finally each person was required to take a 25 question written test and score an 80 or above in order to pass the course.

I used my own Certificates for this course and of the 14 people that took the 22 hour course the lowest score of any individual was a 92.

I decided to offer this course in order to have Officials Certified by the WKF Rules and Regulations as required by the Laws of most US States, so that the WKF can seek Sanctioning Authority in the US. We must have official licensed officials to work WKF Sanctioned Events. Upon the Completion of the Course the results and score is as followed.
